Home of the Elderhostel Program in Kotzebue

Arctic Circle Educational Adventures (LaVonne’s Fish Camp) is a unique culture camp deep in Inupiat Eskimo country. Learn how knowledge of the environment and animal behavior continues to be essential for day-to-day survival. Extensive visiting time is provided with LaVonne’s friends of 30 years who enjoy teaching their crafts and sharing their customs and traditions.

Accommodations include double/triple occupancy in simple cabins. There is a modern kitchen, dining room and shower in a small lodge. Light chores are expected. Daily flights from Anchorage.
